Project Management Course

Project Management Course

Project Management is responsible for that the project delivers it results with the expected quality on time and on cost with the available resources.

IT projects are especially demanding on project management. In IT projects the target is moving during the project. IT project management is subject to changing attitudes and priorities from line and general management. Required qualified and competent resources are scarce and most often not available when required. Time to market is crucial, which makes even minor delays extremely costly and can undermine the return on investment of the project.

Objective

The purpose of the project management course is to empower the participating project managers, steering committee and line management representatives to manage complex and mission critical projects better:

  • Improve negotiation skills
  • Make the different project stakeholders better sparring partners for each other
  • Make the project manager a better coach and guide to all involved parties.

Content

Our experiences from project management coaching and training in major Danish and International Corporations since 1974 and our project management experience from IT and ERP projects across very different industries are made available to the participants.

Topics comprise

  • Project Requirements
  • Quality Management

Role-plays

Role-plays contribute to give the participants more respect for other parties' problems and challenges during a project.

Result

After this course, the participants can perform corporate projects with better results on shorter time with less load on scarce resources.

It becomes more fun to participate in the projects that use the management principles from the course.

Target audience

Project Managers and all potential project stakeholders such as project owners, program managers, project and programme office members, resource managers.

It is an advantage if the participants have experience from project, line, and/or general management because the course does not explicitly teach general management principles.
